Funny problem starting

I sometimes have a funny problem starting my 98 Bravada. It's not all the time. It will start and run for about 1 second and then die. I will try starting it again and the same thing. I'll let it sit for about 10 minutes and it starts right up. The engine can be cold or hot, it doesn't matter. This problem only happens on an average of about every 2 weeks. Sometimes it doesn't happen for a month. Has anyone heard of this problem before?
