Removing Wheel Covers 2000 Neon

Anyone know secret for removing Wheel covers? They have a 5 bolt phony lug nut taht just goes around and round, I've pryed as much as I dare, but the wheel cover is like something is still holding at the center of the rim. Thanks for any suggestions!

yes my friend. They are quite cheeap and strip easily. if you turned them counter clockwise, you should just pry off the cover. If you stripped them you can get replacements cheap, but don't worry about a couple of stripped plastic lugs. They are more for show than holding on the hub cap. Also when you tighten them , just snug them in with very little force.
