2 months ago i had 2 amps and a cap installed in my 02 durango. 2 days ago i had a dvd player installed and the next day i came out of a store and all of the life was sucked out of the truck, it could be jumped, but the idle would not sustain long enought to keep running, and everythng would power down, i was told battery, alternator, and also my throttle position sensor, anyone have any ideas what can be goin on......

Check the battery for water level.
Get a hygrometer and check the battery cells.
Disconnect all the new electrical appliances you just installed.
Disconnect, clean up, and re-connect the battery cables.
Put a charger on, and fully re-charge the battery.

Then see if the truck starts and runs.
If it does, and you've got an alternator light that stays on at that point, get the alternator checked.

Good luck.
Keep us informed.

it was the battery, changed the throttle position sensor, that fixed the idle problem, but not the power, so took the battery to sears, it tested bad, so i got a deep cycle, 800 cca battery, works fine now, thank you
