I am in my second month of owning a nice 2001 silverado ext cab LS. It is just about to hit 40K. I work out of my truck occasionally (electrician) and I was wondering if there are some custom fit seat covers that I can just slip over the captain seats. I have the power captain chairs. I want to be able to keep my seats looking nice and to be able to wash the seat covers would be cool every now and then.
The seat covers I see on ebay look like they actually replace the fabric on the stock seats. I am no upholster-er, I just want some nice slip ons that dont look ghetto :headshake
can anybody provide me a linky? am I going to have to remove the seat fabric and then replace if I want new covers?
Thanks!! :smokin:

How's it goin... I'm a fellow electrician, myself. Anyway, for a good fitting seatcover, you are going fork up some coin. there are two sites I'm aware of that provide quality covers.
www.gtcovers.com most of their patterns resemble stock fabrics. Cost is around $200 shipped
www.wetokole.com these covers are made of neoprene (wetsuit material) these run ~$300 shipped.
I personaly have a set of the wet okole covers. They are very soft. They fit amazingly well and are water proof and flame retardant. Here is a pic of mine installed:

Hope that this helps a bit.

SO these actually slip over existing seat cloth? what you have looks great. I would want a match of the interior which is tan. Please reply
Thanks for the links!

yep, they slip over the exisiting cloth. The seat backs use a strong velcro while the seat bottoms use adjustable straps. They have been tested by insurance safety boards for fire retardency, and for side airbag deployment. They have a ton of colors to choose from and can be customized just about any way you can think.
