seems almost too good to be true, the repairs+paint job can't be more than a grand or so, all for a 5-speed, V6, in my color of choice!

any thoughts?

I was under the impression that those cars came in 6 speed manuals or 5 speed automatics... Oh, I guess that would make it an automatic.

hmm.. I pretty much blindly figured it was a manual cause typically an auto 5 speed is listed as an automatic, but no biggie I don't have a major preference even though I'd like to learn how to drive stick.

only the v8s had 6 speed manual. the v6 came with 5 speed manual or 4 speed auto

I just sneaked my insurance policy number and my insurers phone number out of my dads office to get a quote on the camaro, I don't want him to know I wanna buy one until I've got all of my expenses figured out.

Everytime I bring up anything about a car, or whenever he gets the chance he tells me how I should buy a car with good gas mileage and all, he's prolly right but I want a camro badly, even if I can only afford the V6.

the v6 gets decent gas mileage with reasonable power

not so well compared to my I4, but if it costs another 150 bucks a month thats not bad at all for twice as much horsepower and some killer looks. not to mention I got my shitmobile at $3600

that seems like a pretty good deal...do you know how many miles are on it or what options it has? the wrecked ones around here are going for a lot more than that and especially if you get some of the parts from a junk yard you will save a ton and have a lot less than you would buying it new, theres a 99 firebird formula close to me i keep trying to get the people to sell to me thats been totaled that i could fix for a lot cheaper than buying one thats not wrecked....and if you're lucky and look in the right places you might even find the bumper and stuff the same color as what you need

Mileage is what this deal really comes down to. A close friend of mine got a Camaro EXACTLY like that 6 months ago for $3,500. '98, white, no damage, 100k miles, same wheels, but auto(costs more since its an option). Unless the motor has less than 100k and you find a replacement bumper from the junkyard then I wouldn't call that a deal. If you buy that bumper new and get it painted, that would be right under a grand(estimating $700-$800). And if you want the whole thing painted then forget about it completely unless you want to waste your money.

Dude you know how it says "MINOR" bumper damage? the freaking Camaro is missing the WHOLE front CLIP! Or its what it looks like to me, anyone else have any ideas?

it has alot of miles. I bet around 150-180k. Way too cheap for an extra clean car.
