1996 dodge neon wont start

hey....I am a mom so car smart isn't exactly my thing...I have a 96 dodge neon that won't start....it has power all the lights turn on and the door dinger goes off when I open the door but when I try to start it...it doesn't do anything...it clicks when I turn it over but absolutely no fire...it doesn't even sound like its trying...it was working fine all day and then I parked for 15 minutes and came out to start it and its dead....spark plugs or starter maybe? Any help/advice would be appreciated!!

I had a similar problem with a car I owned before. It would just click but there was no rev. or engine noise. I ended up need a new starter. It wasn't cheap but not terrible either. A few days late but I hope this helps you. God Bless.
