97 Bravada won't start

I bought my bravada in April and have loved it ... until I went out this morning to leave and it wouldn't start .. I was driving it last night and it appeared to be running perfectly so this is kind of a shock. All I hear when I try to turn it over is a clicking noise. The interior lights work, the light under the hood works, the radio works, all of the dash lights come on and the headlights work ... but since its a bright and sunny day i'm not really sure if their dim or not.

I've read some of the other posts here and now i'm wondering if it could be the ignition switch.

Anyone in the mood to give me (or rather my father <grin>) a direction to head in? I wouldn't mind having some of the parts he might need already around when he gets here to speed up the process.

(PS ... just in case anyones interested, its green with grey leather interior and a mere 63,000 miles)

I'd check and clean the battery connections first then if it doesn't start, I'd suspect the starter.

If your service engine light isn't coming on try a crankshaft positioning sensor.
