start then not......start then not...........

My 1984 s-10 blazer usually starts in the morning. Then after about an hour of driving I'll stop somewhere and it won't re-start. I'll wait an hour and it will start! Replaced the alt with new one with greater amp output but problem persists. Put new belts on all components but problem persists! Can you "hep" me? Thanks
