Engine Cutout

Hi all,

I am having trouble with an 85 735i, it has been at the auto electricians for 7 weeks and they have checked the fuel pressure and pumps, replaced the crank angle sensor but still cant find out what is wrong. The car would not start, used a device i have to bypass the distributor and got it started, the crank angle sensor was replaced and now it starts but only idles for approx 1 min and if you try to rev the engine it cuts out, any ideas because we are all out of them,
