Help Removing Front Seats

Hi all,

I have a '85 Corolla GTS.

I was trying to remove my front seats when I ran into this bolt:

How in the hell do I remove this?! I checked under the car and I have the heatshield from the cat converter blocking the underside. Am I suppose to use some special tool or pry it off? Thanks!

PS: Ive removed front seats in GTSs before at junkyards, but this is the first time ive seen this before! And its in MY car :/

looks like its either an allen bolt with lots of rust in it or its riveted on ( shadetree mechanic goin on there)

Get one of those hacksaw handle/blade saws and saw off the bolt. Drill it out and just replace the bolt later. If it gives you trouble now, imagine how much fun it would be to use again, even if you did get it off ?
