94 Continental Smoking...

i have a 94 lincoln contienental runnin a little warm, i checked and it needed a new thermostat gasket, so i replaced thermostat and gasket, and its not leaking, started it up, a little white smoke came out of the tail pipe, ran rough, but not overheating... any suggestions on what to check, any ideas of whats goin on with that, smells like it was burning rich.... :confused:

Does it smoke continually? If it is running very rich it would be black smoke. Is it still running warm? Try some seafoam in the next tank of gas and see if it doesn't help your idle.

94 Continental, 3.8 liter? Ran warm, and smoke? :frown: Guess before I freak out I need to get more facts. Is it alot of blueish smoke? Remove sparkplugs #1,3,4,6 and check for signs of coolant in the cylinders. If there is you may have the skirge of all 3.8s. :sorry: Head gskt failure! :eek:
