One more actuator question...

95 Tahoe 4x4 with manual NV4500 Tranny.
Transfer case engages, but no front wheel spin. I replaced the actuator with another thermal (just because I seldom use 4x4 but still want it to work), but power doesnt seem to be reaching the actuator as checked with test light. Do the two wires from the actuator go straight back to the plug at the top of the transfer case? I took that plug out but cant test or see what is inside there. The 4wd fuse is good and lights up when 4wd is selected. I know about posilok, but just want to get it fixed easily. I cant find part numbers to replace that plug, either. Any help?

I have a 90 so I am not sure how similiar it is; however, I have the factory service manuals for my truck.
The diagnostics for 4wd not working include checking:
1) Transfer case Switch (you refered to it as a plug)
2) Actuator
3) Transfer case synchronizer
Looking at my wiring diagram, the acuator only gets power if the transfer case switch operates correctly. It looks like http://www.rockauto.com/ref/SMP/SMPDetail2.html?TCA4.jpg
