Hey budy go with a JWT pop charger intake Cost: 120+9 for shipping dont let them tell you any higher. 3-5hp gain.
www.jimwolftechnology.com
There is also the stillen wich is the barbie of the intakes but will also cost you 177. not including shipping there is a reason they call them stealing.
Browse through the forum you will find out a lot take your time we all can help you!:D

Stillen also came out with a cold air intake for the car..but it's very expensive at $250 or so from me. The Stillen air intake is $130 from me...ti's the exact same ones as JWT, infact stillen copied JWT's design....who just copied K&N..but anyway, stillen ones looks better in my opinion because it's silverish gray in color and has stillen embossed on the filter.
i would personally recommend getting the HKS intake for the FWD SR20 and just find a bracket that would hold the filter in so it wont dangle around in the engine bay.

ACtually, i would recommend getting the Blitz intake, looks damn nice! performance wise, you are not going to notice a big difference with any of those intakes...perhaps the cold air intakes will make a little more power but you are more susecptible to dirt, water and other debris...it basically comes down on how the filter will look.

Luke, how about the K&N replacement for the stock box? Just for the people that don't want to make noise and want the engine to breath better.

Hey Luke I would like to order an intake for a 2000 G20t it's my wifes ride she has an automatic. I will call you on 08/06/01 to make sure you got 1 in stock. I would like to drop in a cold air intake no worried to much on how pretty it is just want colder air to reach my engine like the PR intake is there other brands? like the PR intake if so let me know, she said she want's an intake & that is the day she gets the money for her rims she just sold!
So I am 100% sure we are going to buy the intake on the 6th & we would like to purchase from you rather than go some were else!:flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash:

RCer- the K & N replacement filter for the stock air box is
K & N # 33-2031-2, at least for the 2001 model.
Check out www.knfilters.com (http://www.knfilters.com)
Anyone know about K & N intakes for the 2001 G20s? (not just filters, thats all they do for us now.)
I saw their FIPK (fuel injection performance kits) and they claim up to 26 hp..... Yeah, right, I doubt that, but still might want the intake.
Also, they have their Typhoon Air Intake System, but they are just for acura, honda, and mitsus.
Maybe if we all bug them.....

Just finshed reading some intresting stuff from a car mag that done some tests on several different types of filters.
Out of the ones tested HKS...K&N and Uni Filter were the best overall.
The most disappointing one tested was the TRUST filter.
Just some info to think about

That is not right Luke.
The JWT and the Stealin have a large venturi leading to the MAF. The K&N just has a bracket that holds a filter.
The reason for the venturi is smoother air flow. The MAF does not like turbulent air flow. So, JWT designed the POP Charger with the large venturi so the MAF reading would be more accurate, leading to greater power.
Stealin just ripped off JWT like they do to everyone else. But that's another argument. :D

See my other post referring to the venturis.

:hehehe:
They must be using Stealin's dyno.
Even a POP Charger (or Stillen intake) will only make about 3 hp or so, max. If you want power, get a CAI. They should make around 8 hp. The hp comes not so much from the cold air, but the longer intake pipe.

funny you mentioned the stillen dyno haha...they got in some trouble long time ago for posting exaggerated numbers and pissed off some big heads in the industry...so in the newer catalogs, they dont claim in the stillen intake to make 300 HP anymore hehehe.
P10DET is correct about the venturi because of the bigger size, the air flow gets a bit crazier if it's channelled properly.
but that FIPK thing...i've never heard of it? from the name of it...a kit with bigger injectors and bigger fuel pump i presume?
in anycase, it's NOT gonna make u 26hp...hahaha...even on stillen's dyno that's still very farfetched hehehe.....

Luke, the FIPK from K&N does nothing to injectors or anything else.
Here's what they say:
"Typical FIPK replaces the stock airbox. Generation II replaces entire air intake tract"
So, basically it's a POP charger, but they called it FIPK? WTF?!
You can see it here : .http://www.knfilters.com/fipk.htm
And, I hope you guys didn't think I believed the 26hp number. I wrote that to get a laugh out of folks. That is what they claim though. I thought it was funny they could get away with even saying that....aren't there rules about fair and accurate advertising?
I know, to K&N, 1hp must mean 1 Shetland Pony Power...You know those tiny little horses. Maybe 26 of those adds up to 2-3 real horses?

well they say up to 26hp, which basically means.. out of their whole application list, one of them gives 26 hp.
probably some twin turbo v-8 monster or something... 26hp sounds feasible there. ;)
