409 chev shim gaskets

should one use a coppercoat type sealer on steel shim gaskets or install clean and dry????????

In general most people have good success using a spray copper coat gasket adhesive on head gaskets made of steel or copper. I would definitely use it.

Ditto. Always had good luck with the stuff.
