sweet clutch, but i dont get why you got the 160 thermostat? I have a GM and i thought they were all pretty similar. My car runs in whats called Limp mode untill it reaches 180F. This just means the car dumps extra gas. So if i were to install a 160 thermostat in my car, it would just waste gas. Is it different with your car or something?

Being that you are running pretty decent mods, you should also be looking into some kind of fuel/timing control in which case, this problem would be no longer a problem.

Just hook up with someone who has a wideband(note:don't sleep your way to the top. lol jk) and see if it is in fact a problem.

well tunning software is still about a month away from my car, and its not really a problem. Thats just how Gm designed the engines to warm up and run.
