Loosing It

I just wanted to formally introduce myself. I posted a couple of questions in the wrong forum.
Anyhow, for those of you who are driving Pontiac Grand Am GT, my congratulations to you if you are still sane. I bought a 1998 model last week and so far I have spent $800.00 in repairs. After all of that, I still have the "check" sign on the gas gauge side and a "check" sign with ABS on the brakes side. I am about to loose it.
I live in The Bahamas and here car parts are priced with a 400% mark up and sometimes more and the majority of the mechanics here just love to make you spend, spend and spend.
My next modem of transportation will be either a bicycle or a horse.
