Cop Cars

I was driving down the main road in my city one night, and all of a sudden I see this Acura Integra stopped in front of me at a red light. Now this Integra had a full kit and other aftermarkets parts, just something you'd want to race! As the lights turn green, the Teg slowly drives away and this TRD Celica comes gunning it down beside us. At this time, the Teg begins to pick up the pace, and I hear this really loud "psssss" sound coming from the Teg! All I was thinking was that this is going to be one hell of a match up! So as both cars line up at the next light, the Celica revs at the Integra. All of a sudden, flashing lights and sirens go off ..but from the Integra!

Oh man, what a poor guy. Apparently there's a fully customed Civic in my city that the police own too. As much as I'd like to see it, I only hope it's because someone else tried to have a street race with the authorities :P

I would be a cop if i got to drive a turbo Integra....but i would just pick up the people that beat me in a race. I would let everyone else go!!

There's some new law (might be in my area only), where you don't have to pull over for any car other than a marked police car. It's because of all the jackasses pretending to be police and pulling women over. So if I was that Celica driver, I would have just kept going.

yep there are hooked up mustangs, camaros, and a nice expedition around here, that are the police. That is like the ultimate fake-out. You must be very, very careful

man thats some shit... pretending to be a racer to get people. That means he could try to race you and it you take off he can pull you over. Now thats not right there should be a limit to what they can do.

back on topic, yes it really could be considered entrapment as revving is really not legal anyway so cop revving on you isn't legit good luck fighting it in court though.

The cop can't try to race other people.. it's if the other driver tries to start one. The police use it as a decoy, only to filter out the street racers, but the cops can't lure the other racer into racing. It's like if a cop hands any woman $10,000 for sex, she would most likely accept it and have her ass thrown in jail. Just have to be patient until someone takes the bait I guess, I know there are quite a few willing in my city.

Would a cop rev and try and make you race or will they just wait and see if you make the first move?

revving an engine at the lights is concidered to be exhibition of speed or street racing. Sooo that would be like them trying to race them then pulling them over.

Holy crap. I know for a fact that cops have an option of installing those cop lights in their personal vehicles, if they chose to. So when theyre off duty, they can do that shit and pull people over whenever they feel like it.
