I own a flex fuel 2000 GV 3.3l, and with the gas prices out of control I was wondering if anyone out there was using E85. (that is 85% ethanol 15% gasoline)

You can get specifics at the address above, choose your year and E85, the chrysler minivans are quite prominent on the list (2000 and later)
Are there any performance issues?
Any maintenance issues with extended use?
Anyone know where to get it in NY?
Are there any good websites to learn more? (like how to get it, or even make it!)
Thanks
-Tim

I used it once. Once was enough. My mileage was less, 17 in town went to 12mpg. In the owners manual, it specificaly says to use motor oil formulated for E85 use and to diligently change it every 3000 miles. Too much trouble, not any reward that I can think of, hard starting in the winter too.

Gas prices around here are about $3.20, let's say I get 18 mpg with gas.
If I use E85, and get 12 mpg, the break even price would be $2.13.
I think people are paying only 1.50 or so for E85 in the mid-west (anyone have a price?)
To me, with that significant of a savings (30%+) it would be worth it (better than $900 a year for me). I already use pure synthetic oil and change at 3000, so I can't see that being any more expensive.
Do you know what oil they reccommend? (my used GV didn't come with a manual)
Anyone out there using it on a regular basis?
