Security Light

The security feature in my 94 GTP is going bad. Sometimes it takes me 10 minutes before my car will start. Just lately, the Security Light on my dash came on and stays on. Since the light came on, I haven’t had a problem with the car starting, but I afraid that I may have problems again. Is there a way to disable the security feature? I definitely no not want to replace the ignition switch.
