Don't know a whole lot about exaust systems, but i can tell you that you're going to be limited in your options since z3's are fairly rare and most z3 drivers don't tend to be the types to trick out cars with alot of custom jobs. I personally have a remus exaust system on mine that was on the car when i bought it, and I'm quite happy with how the car sounds and performs.

The easyest way to find an exhaust thats in your price range is first searching on the internet. Just go to google and try in. M roadter exhaust and your come up with a list of performance upgrades for your vehicle.
On this page, you have to scroll down a little but theres an entire section dedicated to performance of MZ3's.

And heres a link for the google results.

If your looking to gain some easy horses, get a throtel body and a DME (engine manangement computer) from a E36 M3 and you can gain about 30 or so horses, or so Im told. Ofcourse that only works if you have the S52 engine that came in the E36 M3's and not the E46 M3 S54 engine.
