sr20det specs?

lets say i take out the stock ka24 motor out of my s13 240sx and want to reaplace it with the legendary sr20det .....

what kind of horsepower and torque would i be receiving TO THE WHEELS ...

anybody know quarter mile times with a stock sr20det in a 240?

and does anybody know what size turbo they come with stock?

yeah i tried google and those other search engines ... ive gotten sites that say that sr20det's have 270 to the crank .. i have sites that say they have 210 at the crank ... but ive yet to find specs for rwhp. i figure alot of people in this forum did the swap and dyno'ed their car.

im guessing theres more than one gen of sr20 out there?

they make about 166-170rwhp stock. The Factory flywheel rating is 202hp.

would be enough to put you in the low 15's to high 14's depending on driver, clutch, tires, differntial etc.....


160 is with the 240SX Exhaust.

Most People do around 180 wheel with a Downpipe/Testpipe and Catback.

240WHP is the Average Power on the stock turbo and Ive heard of 280WHP running 1.2bar through the T25 (for one or two runs)

yeah thats what i want to know. yeah hp at the crank is easy to find out but diff sites tell u different things. thats why i was wondering if there are different sr20 motors. sr20detpower answered my question about to the WHEELS. the site u gave me sited crank hp. see how were already gettin different #'s for rwhp on the forum? ....
there are many #'s but only one is true.

so by stock you mean you are keeping your exhaust, and cat, and the side mount intercooler from a silvia/180?? going by that you will do 160 maybe a little more the the wheels like sr20power said.

yes STOCK they have been dyno'ing around 160-170rwhp.


I may be mistaken, but the local speed shop has a 240 S13 with red top SR, they put a jerry rigged boost controller on it[aka: a T in vacuum line going to waste gate with a fish tank valve off the T]. They slammed the gate with jerry rigged fish tank valve, put it on their dyno and made 250whp. I'm pretty sure about this though...

B)Even if they did its a bad Idea.

Its not impossible to find specs. The sites give you different power levels because there are different SR20 engines with different specs.

The FAQ explains all of this. First sticky at the top of this page.
