My pops just got off of an original matching #'s '69 RS/SS 396. It had a 12-bolt, and the M-21 4-spd. The thing was dam near flawless. He sold it for $22,000 cash. I thought he couldve gotten more...what do you guys think?

I think 22K was pretty good for that car. I do think he couldve gotten a little more but we dont know mileage on the car so its hard to tell..

I agree with this totally, but I wasnt going to say anything because its already sold.
I know I would've been on my knees begging my dad to death over giving it to me.

good money. I have seen people asking $40000, but the cars went for about the same as yours. You know how it is. On a good day it can be $30000 (if you lucky) on the other $20000. I am pretty sure that in most cases people who buy these cars know a lot about the real value of cars. So its probably a bit less that you would like.

At least he got cash for it. I bet he will really miss that car, I wish some day to just be able to DRIVE one, let alone own one.

There was one near me at a classic car dealer. Non-matching # engine, a few bubbles in the paint, otherwise nice. 30k asking. It's gone, i don't know final price.
