Engine Swap 1.5TBFI to 1.6MPFI Help

My friend has swaped a 1.5 HF engine to an 1.6 SI engine, everything is hooked up except for the harnes that goes to the fuel injectors, they don't match up. Is there any way to cut the harnesses out and splice the wires directly together?

wait are you trying to use an si enigne harness on the hf ?

For example, the wiring that comes from the ECU is the HF and the wiring that comes off of the engine is the SI. The only problem that we are having is trying to get the wires to match up with the fuel injection hookup. If this still doesn't give enough information, I will try to get some pictures.

It should be pretty straight forward. If there are differences between the hf mpfi and si mpfi check it out here in the manual...

me and my buddy put a d16a6 in his CRX HF, you dont need to change any wires...we didn't. Just plug the HF harness backup on the d16a6 (aside from the EGR valve). Should be good to go.

k i still dont understand but if you are saying that you are trying ot put the si harness on the hf, then dont use hte hf harness.

there is a way to cut and splice the injector wiring together, you cut the injectors wires and splice the same colors together, does that answer your question ?

injector wireing should be pretty straight forward, blue, brown, red, yellow and 4 wires to the resistor box.

To give civickiller a little more information, the HF wiring harness (the one that is still in the car, not on the engine) didn't have the resistor box so the factory connector had 11 wires and the one coming from the engine (on the 1.6 SI fuel injector system) has a eight wire connection, so they don't match up. Some of the wire colors match up, but not all of them.

The problem is now solved, thanks for all the advise!!!
