My Ranger will be fine for a little while and then it'll just start acting crazy. Yesterday my truck acted completly normal and then I get in it to leave this morning and it won't start. It'll turn over but just wont fire. So me and my step-dad (who knows alot about cars) checked everything we knew to check. we replaced the spark plugs and checks everything else. He seams to think that for some reason it is pushing too much full into the engine. When I try to start it you get a big whif of fuel coming out from the hood. If I remember correctly He also said that the spark plugs were covered in gas. Another thing is that sometimes when its running and I am in 1st gear (automatic) it'll kinda bog down for a second until i let off the gas, then it'll kick back in. It continues to do this for a few minutes and then its fine. But i just need it to start A.S.A.P. any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. its a 2.3 leter auto. thanks, jeremy

Are you getting spark? Also remove the distributer cap and make sure it turns while cranking!

Well. it started today. seems like it just has its days where it just doesnt want to cooperate. But to answer your question, yes, i was gettin spark when it wouldnt start. but like i said it started today. more than likely it'll act crazy in a couple of days so i'd still like some info on what it could be. thanks. jeremy
