axle nut torque spec

I need the spec on the axle nut for a 99 Grand Prix GT 3.8L non-super charged if someone has a manual with this in it I would be gratefull for the number :p
I am guessing from 150 to 180 anyone?

if you purchased a new hub bearing, and it has a spec different than Bnaylor posted in the box/instruction sheet, use the spec with the new hub, as changes in bearing design sometimes necessitate a different torque spec for proper bearing pre-load.

Thanks for that spec. The new bearing (national) did not have a torque sheet in it which surprised me. Bearing does look like an exact copy of the factory one.
I just hope the ABS sensor in the other hub held up as I had to impact and pull and hammer to get the stuck CV axle out on that side :banghead:

Thanks for that spec. The new bearing (national) did not have a torque sheet in it which surprised me. Bearing does look like an exact copy of the factory one.

The torque spec I provided was the standard out of the GP service manual, however, I agree with Rich that you should follow the one provided by the replacement, if any. I've seen em as high as 180 ft-lbs.
