Takes off in 2nd i think. won't shift into drive.Occasionally on fresh start nothing is wrong till a lil driving.Told it was speed sensor.please tell me how to check wires to and where is it located. On the transfer case? Also read something about a fuse.Vehicle is a 95 jim with 4.3.

Speed sensor is on the tail shaft. For giggles though, disconnect your battery for a 1/2 hour (simply pull the negative cable) and then hook it back up. See if that at least temporarily cures your problem.

ok.drove it ,ran fine .not sure how to set the memory on motor to idle though.drove it 10 miles.I did drive it last night after it sitting all day and it ran allright.
i let it sit because after my wife told me it done it to her i drove it to work and it wouldn't come out of 2nd gear.i figured it was finally gonna stay like that until i fixed it.whats the correlation between the speedometer and the abs light .all must be tied in together in some switch.any ideas?

next day,drove 100 yds.light came on.No shift.PLEASE correspond!
ok,how do i check the ignition switch, with abs light on can i check fuse box and see if there is 12 v in all fuses.By the way the tranny fuse was fine and the 18 fuse was not installed.Should it be?i believe it was a break fuse.
