Rear Seats - 2002 Firebird

I'm thinking of buying a 2002 Firebird Trans Am. I looked at one but the rear bucket seats move around. Salesman said that they are removable but I tried to remove them and don't see how it works. I would think the rear seats would not move at all. I'm concerned since I may need to occassionally put my kids in a car seat back there. Anyone have a 2002 Firebird that can comment. I have a fourth gens and yes they move around the lower seat area. Its normal and its almost like a shock absorber when your sitting in them but the back part moves down but that may not be locked into place if its moving around.

Just like the third generation back seats there is one bolt that holds the seat in. It's underneath the front of the seat in the middle. (one for each side) There is some velcro on the back half but since the seat itself is a fabric covered block of foam, that's all they used.

It's the seatbelt that holds you in..

If you install a childs seat, you'd want it in the middle as this is the safest spot in any car. However, with the driveshaft tunnel and no seating there, I'm not sure how you'd do that without a custom installation (possible fabrication, modification, etc..)
