Help! I just changed the head gaskets in my '95 grand am, and when i start it up the lifters are making a lot of noise (clicking). I think i may have mixed up the pushrods for the exhaust and intake valves since they're different lengths...does anybody know what order the valves are in for each side of the block???
Thanks in advance!!

First of all mtncat580 it would be quite beneficial if you posted the size engine you have since different engines have different specs. Once you do someone should be able to help you.
For Mike j hodge it is possible for the timing chain to make noise. If you have a rapid ticking noise that usually indicates lifters and the noise will either get faster or go away when you rev the engine. Lifter noise is also more prevelant when the engine is cold.
To both of you welcome to AF!
