wanted to know if anyone else is having these problems.... i have a 2005 4x4 ram 1500 at around 1000 miles i developed a "clunking" noise in the suspension. I have taken it to the dealer 4 times and they think that it is the steering bump stops slamming into the lower control arm. Crawled under the truck and looked and there is some serious grinding on the bump stops and control arms. The dealer referred us to Chrysler, who in turn told us to take it back to the dealer (The typical run around). Then today i was merging onto the highway and the engine stalled (almost got slammed on that one) it did it 3 more times right after that. The dealership of course said they had never heard of that problem. I am getting so frustrated with this, i love my hemi, but when you shell out 40k for something it had better work!

Hello,
I was a Ford tech for years, but I recently defected to dodge.
I came across a similar suspension problem recently in a 2005
1500 4x4 with only 4000k.
The noise was most noticable when braking.
It took a bunch of diagnosis with a device called chassis ears.
Turned out to be the front bushing in the left lower control arm.
I could not see the bushing move at all, and there were no shiny spots
to make me think it was moving.
When I removed the lower control arm, the bushing fell out onto the
ground. Its supposed to be pressed in VERY tight.

I installed a new control arm and the truck has been fine ever since.

I hope this helps a bit.

I will keep my eyes and ears open for any info on your stalling concern.
