rpm problem

At completely random times, my Aurora will suddenly increase rpms (nearly 3,000 at idle.) I have to shut off and restart the car, and then it is fine again. It is not the floor mat, nor is it a sticking throttle body (I can't manually push the valve closed.) O2 sensor? FPR?

How is it possible to love and hate a car at the same time?!
