car: eclipse 95 gs(non-turbo)
OBD 1 with obd 2 plug style...

i'm looking for a scantool so that i can monitor my car while i'm driving, i wanted one that i can hookup to a laptop, but i can't find one that supports my car... so if u know a good scantool that will work on my car, let me know. thanks...

trying to solve my stalling problem, no check engine light comes on, nothing in computer memory when scanned later, so i wanted to try catching it with a scanner while i'm driving.. is the cheap scantools at kragen and autozone good for what i want to do??

replaced ign.coil pack, ign.wires, sparkplugs, and crankshaft sensor... it still stalls.... i might replace VSS to see if that fixes the problem...if u think u know whats wrong, let me know...thanks...

Your car is OBD-II not OBD-I.

Check out www.pocketlogger.com

Most of the scan tools at AutoZone/Advanced are just for retreiving CEL's. If you do find one that will show you all of the OBD-II parameters, you probably won't be able to save a log. I would recommend a pocketlogger.

You can pick up a palm on ebay for about $15.

Enjoy!

just want to let ya know, or anyone that has a 1995 car, that has OBD 2 plug style, even if it says OBD 1 certifed under the hood, OBD 2 scanners still work on it... cause i just got Proscan obd 2, hooked it up to my car and laptop, and it works...

It's OBD1 compliant because OBD2 wasn't required until 96. It is still OBD2 which complies with OBD1 standards.

so far replaced Fuel filter, spark plugs, ign.wires, ign.coils, crankshaft sensor and oil filter....

i wanted to replace Vehicle speed sensor, but i can't find it on my tranny...
