good lord where to begin....

ok, so for those of you who knew, i bought a 94 talon dohc nt.....
within two weeks, i dropped 1g into it keeping it running.....now, we have ANOTHER problem (go figure!)
only having 112k miles on it i figured only typical stuff would need help (h20 pump, belts, etc)...but now i blow A LOT of white smoke out, and it idles rough, and then dies (randomely) at stops.....
i took it to a shop, they said either head gasket or rings....well, i took it to the dealership, and right in my face ,they did a compression check, found out, the rings/gasket are FINE???? WTF????
so they replaced the plugs for free and reset the cpu...heres the problem,
before undoing the battery to reset the cpu, it gave the 4-3 reading for the EGR ...so SOMETHING has to be wrong, right?....well, they hooked the battery back up, the check engine light went off, and so far, it idles fine, doesnt blow out smoke, and the light has yet to come back on???
DID THIS FIX THE PROBLEM?!?!?!?!?!?? b/c all they freakin' did was take out the battery and put it back in, and then replaced plugs for like 5 bucks????
someone PLEASE tell me what the hell is going on w/ the car? i have one week to decide to take it back ,and i really dont want to, but i wont have a choice if i cant figure this out!?

Who did you buy it from a dealer or private party, and for how much? The way I see it is you've spent $1,000 on this car in maintenance costs already. If you take it back are you going to be able to get this money back. No, whoever you bought it from is not going to give you a grand when you bring it back because you put all this new stuff on. You also can't take off all the new parts because that would be alot more in labor costs if you don't do it yourself, and you probably don't have all the old stuff that was on the car.

I guess I would just keep the car and hope everything works out, otherwise you'll be out $1k.
