I have a 05 silverado and I was wondering how to get some more power out of it. I was wondering do they make software and cable to hook a latop to my computer to change a couple of things like the TM. or any other ideas thanks.

Everything that I have read the software is approaching 2000+. For the most part the suggestion on this forum is get a nelson tune. Allen can program your pcm to any parameters and mods you have. Better yet anytime you want to change something, new mods, getting rid of old ones, want to change octane, he will give you an update for free, all you have to pay is shipping, unless you live close to San Antonio, you could go to his shop. In my opinion Nelson is the way to go without question. After I got mine 2+ MPG increase and truck drives like never before. Face it the guy knows his stuff. Im not the only one that feels this way, you can ask other guys on this forum like blender, jethro, jeverett, sloprocess, the list can go on. There are some other types of programmers available some pretty inexpensive but nowhere the history of nelson. Go to www.nelsonperformance.com or ask here if you have any more ?

Nelson uses a program called HPtuners. You can also use LS1Edit. But my advice is to leave it to the professionals unless you understand all the paramaters you have to modify in the tables. If you dont understand what your doing you could make your truck undriveable.
