98 Jetta GLX wont start

Hello all I started to get wierd problems with my dashboard warning lights. Brake light stayed on sometimes ABS light would stay on sometimes. CEL light was always on even after a few trips to the dealership. CEL light would go off for a week or two then come back on. Anyways today I went to start it and nothing wont even crank over no cough nothing its like there isnt even a battery attached to the car but all electronics work. Lights radio door beep everything. after I try and start it and look under my hood I notice theres a humming or a buzzing noise comming from a group of wires thats attached the the back of the engine. The buzzing shuts off in usually 15 to 20 min. Any help would be great.

Automatic or manual? Check to see if there is power to the small red/black wire at the starter when you turn the switch to start position.

Yeah I know who gets a automatic GLX. Its in the shop as we speak lets hope the extended warnty covers the repair.

Sounds like ignition switch
