Hello,

I have a 1999 Chevy Astro 4.3 6cyl with 179k. I recently did a tune up and I also changed the Fuel pump. For some reason when I am driving and I accelerate the vehicle seems like it is running out of gas or something. The same thing also happened to me while going up a hill. I couldn't accelerate the car because it felt like it was going to turn off. I am also not sure if that same problem(whatever it is) is causing the check engine light to flicker/flash. Can anybody help me PLEASE!

Thanks

first thing to do is get the code(s) read. If you are near an autozone they will read them for free. If not, the code readers aren't too expensive.
I see you replaced the fuel pump. Did you replace the fuel filter also?

I just replaced the fuel filter yesterday and the ride did get better. I also reset the computer by disconnecting the battery. I drove the car last night and this morning for total of about 50 miles and the SES light has not come on as of yet. So, maybe the fuel filter because it was clogged up might have been causing the light to flicker. Thanks
