'94 Transmission into '92?

I have come across a good condition 1992 Signature Sedan in my neighborhood that needs a transmission. One of my neighbors has a transmission out of a 1994 Taurus also equipped with a 3.8 engine. Does anyone know if these two would be compatible for a swap? Thanks!
