So, I'm thinkin' about overhauling my engine. New cams, forged pistons, the whole shabang! Any tips or advice before I do so?

awesome, 420a engine right? how much boost do you plan on running? are you doing the install yourself? and lastly... is the turbo used? my bro got ripped off on a used one not to long ago.

Yeah, the 420a. Auto matick baby!!! Woohaa!! Well, the guy said he ran it around 6 to 8 pounds of boost, but it's also capable of running 10 to 11 pounds also, but I doubt I'm gonna have that much boost. I"ll probably keep it around 6 or 8, hehe. Well, I plan on installing it myself. I need the rest of the parts though. I'm just beginning!!! Woohoo. Well, the turbo is used. I bought it off of Ebay, but the guy said it's rebuilt and has about 1000 miles on it.

Right on, I appreciate your offer for help. I'm sure I'll keep in touch on here. I have a friend who just rebuilt his engine. Put new everything in, and he turbocharged it, and he said the best thing you can do is join a forum.

Yep Joining this one was a smart move. You can boost at the most 10 PSI without replacing your head bolts. What type of intercooler (front or side) and where are you getting all your fuel upgrades from.

I'm thinkin' about getting a front mount intercooler, but the problem is, I've only found one that is a direct fit to my car, and has the same side inlet/outlet as well, and that costs around 800 bucks without shipping. I came across www.exileracing.com and they have just about everything for chrysler/dodge vehicles, so I'm probably gonna get the majority of my parts from them.

itll be nice to buy an intercooler that fits deirectly on the avenger... we had one off a different car and it was a bitch to find a good way to mount it. we had an exhaust shop custom make the piping for it, ill see the results of that today.

Yeah, but it's freakin' expensive!!!! Ahhhhhh!! Oh well, I'm rich, haha. Not really. I'm having a hard time finding a 3" exhaust and down pipe for my car. Any ideas?

I'll have to give them a call and see if they do mandrel bent piping instead of crushed.

Hey, you said you turbocharged your avenger right? What's the biggest size front mount intercooler that can fit on an avenger?
