BIG trouble with a toyota! or maybe not!
I am trying to sort out a problem with a 92' GT4 'Carlos Sainz(?)', I am getting no power down the fuel pump wire and no feed to the radio, clock, dome light and cig lighter.I know most of these are on a common circuit and I have ,many times over, checked the fuses and have found none to be blown, although there were many wrongly rated fuses, which have been changed for the correct ratings! Everything else is working correctly, so I am led to belive its a relay or a less than obvious fuse block! Am I missing something obvious??
any help on this matter will be well recived by myself and the poor sod with a lovely, showroom shiny, GT4!!
CHEERS,
Jon T!

try to rememebr, was the fuse that went to that relay bigger? sometimes when (lets say a 15 amp) a fuzze is actually replaced with a higher value, itll give a short in the line..thats the whole reason why you have fuses and why there rated with a scertain rating so that dosent happen....
use a voltimeter and test the line, if you dont get any current you have a short

According to the work shop manual, the radio, :1zhelp: clock and dome light all go straight to a live via a fuse. I have found a fuse for the radio bet this is only for the 'acc' input on the radio and not for the permanent live!
Its this fuse that I am trying to track down. I am well aware of the problems that can be caused by oven rating fuses but whoever owned the car previously had various work done on the car and this left it in a slightly mistreated condition am not getting a negative down the live wire which makes me think that there is no short present. This is a bit of a 'funny' problem and I think the answer is something pathetic that I am just over looking! thanks for the advice you posted, I will be checking continuity in the wires just in case, cheers!!
