fuel shutoff?

So I installed my full exhaust on my car last weekend. And before yesterday I hadn't really taken the car out and gotten on it. My friend comes over and I tell him that I want to take him for a ride in it, because the last time I took him for a ride was when the car was stock and I wanted him to see the difference. So We take off and I proceed to almost burn out through the entirety of first gear which I have never done before lol and still of course chirp the tires in second. Anyway, I have never had the car drive that fast and it seemed pretty insane. I was driving though and unbeknowist to be I was running at like 20psi on the stock turbo because I hadn't really got on it and paid attention to my guage. Anyway, I'm hauling ass driving the crap out of my car and it just dies on me. It only did it once and after that I didn't really get on it again and as I was thinking today I was wondering if this was what happens when you hit the fuel shutoff or is this another underlying problem?

Fuel cut doesn't shut the car off completely. It should feel like a strong shuddering.

yeah for me, the car completely died. It only did it once before under similar conditions but all completely stock. So I don't know what it could be

Is your bov venting to the atmosphere or recirculating? If it's venting that could be part of the problem.

It's venting. but if I remember correctly this happened once before I installed the bov

Hmmm.....venting could be part of the problem, but if it only happens rarely i wouldn't get too worried abot it. BTW when i take my bov return line off my car runs like shit i think it's the 1g maf, my brother has the HKS ssqv and has never had any problems.

yeah mine is an apexi bov and I have never had a problem other than this. The car runs great besides this. And this is only the second time it did it.

Fuel cut isnt as much a stuttering or stumbling as it is just completely shitting the bed, forcing you to pitch forward and bust another one of you banged up chicklets on the steering wheel... Its a solid second or two that it cuts out, IIRC...
