bost controllers and A/F ratios?

I posted this same thing in the FI forum but thought i'd get you guys's 2cents as well...
Ok, let's say i have a turbocharged 240sx (ka24de) with the typical greddy bolt-on turbo upgrade and it's puttn' out a conservitive 6psi of boost or w/e streight off the wastegate. My question is this. If I were to get a boost controller, manual or electronic, and i decided to crank up the boost higher, but still within safe levels, 10psi say, would the lil greddy e-manage piggyback be able to recognize this in the A/F ratio and increase my injector duty cycle, or is the e-manage only programed to work with the included turbo only putting out 6psi. Wow, that's a loong sentence :P . Is this where these 'self-learning' ECU's start to come in to play? I'm not to farmilliar with those. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i think it would still measure the air flow and compensate with more fuel, but im not really sure on this one. I saw your post in FI, you might want to delete this thread and then post it in one of the subforums, or dont make two threads and leave the one in FI. Good luck with it!

Good idea. Meh', i'll leave this one here. It's where all the REAL FI guys are anyways, right? :)

I'll let this one stay because it is 240sx related.
No, the Greddy Emanage only alters MAFS voltage based on RPM. I've never used it, but all piggybacks AFAIK use this method. Get a PLX M-300 wideband and you'll know for sure.;)

e-manage = JUNK
get a stand alone.... PERIOD
e-manage a wast of $$, it onlly controls 20% (+,-) of the STOCK map!! so u will still use that lame inacurate MAF insted of a MAP reading! BOTH cost the same amount of $ 2 tune, the e-manage just is not as acvurate and its dozn't have the potential of a full stand alone.
i have the HKS, F-con stand alone, hella happy w it. i had a e-manage sold it as fast as i could!

That was one of the nicer things i liked about the e-manage, the fact that it was 100% plug and play. It didn't need any 'tuning', or so i thought. Standalones, the F-con for example, have to be tuned by a pro right? Somewhere out in Cali.? So basically if i get the whole greddy kit i'll be stuck w/ 6psi unless i swap out the ecu? Grrr..... :P

Stock if you raised the boost the Stock ECU would compensate with more air. what Piggybacks do (SAFC anyway - thats the only piggy back I care to know about) is adjust the amount of fuel the stock ECU wants to add by a certain Percetage by altering MAF or MAP voltage. - I belive the E Manage is a ritzy SAFC so it should be the same as SAFC.
Piggybacks are a bandaid your car will still run like dog ass every where except 100% and 50% throttle (the Emanage has more throttle maps I think) and I wouldnt get the F-Con unless you live in Cali - HKS only authourizes a few shops with the right to tune it. no right to tune - no software to tune.
Power FCs are minamalist but decent, Haltecs, F-Con (make sure you know where you have to tune it) and the AEM EMS are where its at.

Can you tell me the firing order for a 240 SX K24 standard motor?

Yea the stock ECU does compensate, but how much? Only way to know that is a wideband. So you are still only taking a percentage of the MAFS/MAP voltage away at a given RPM. Point being, it requires tuning anytime you modify/turn up the boost. You would be a fool not to. It is just a ritzy SAFC. They threw in ignition adjustment and a slightly better dec. air feature and made it tuneable only by a laptop so all the F&F ricers coudl ride aroudn with a laptop in thier car. I woudl never pay $500+ for only another stand-alone...
I say go Enthalpy tune...

yeah, the HKS unit is hard to tune, BLAST did it for me but again i live like 10 min away from them.
AEM is the shit dough, my freind has it in his supra and man, its clean, clear, and easy 2 use. its has the STOCK map in it, so u can drive the car to a tuner shop. the F-con has NO STOCK MAP!!! so u need to get the tunning done right away.
i'm going 2 get my car tune but i need a wide band and bunch of other stuff, but its good 2 know that i have the most important unit, the ECU installed.
