I usually use GM parts while my vehicles are under warranty. On my 95 Astro, GM pads were about $7-$8 more with clips than basic auto parts stores. For my 03 S-10 they are trying to get $142. Can someone enlighten me and tell me why I shouild use Gen GM parts now? Even ceramics are $100 less at the chain stores.

No reason to use GM parts for that. Get a nice set of Bendix ceramics. A full front set will run you about 30 bux at most parts stores. Regulars will be about 20

far as i can decern about any factory brake pad , is simply the fact , that out of any pad\shoe , the factory one will be the least likely to squeek , except anything chrysler of course , but we arent going there , anyways , as far as brakeing performance and dust are concerned , i dont it makes a diff what you use
