I just bought a used 1994 Grand Prix SE. We recieved one key fob with it that didn't work. We replaced the batteries in it and put a new battery in the car as well. Now is there a way to reprogram the key fob so it will work again, short of having to drive to a dealer and forking out big bucks?
I appreciate any help I can get on this.

IF it is like my 91 was, the proceedure is simple. In the trunk, on the passenger side near the antenna, you'll find a wire that doesn't lead to anything. Take a piece of wire and ground that ternimal, and you should hear the locks cycle. Press and hold the lock/unlock buttons on the remote until you hear the locks cycle again. Repeat this proceedure with any additional remotes (if you have more than one) and when all remotes are programmed, unhook your ground wire and your remotes should work.

Sounds just like the early Regal programming instructions:
In the trunk of 90-94 buick regals there is a wire that is near the antenna. If that wire is grounded the locks will cycle and the trunk release will cycle. At this point leave the wire grounded and press both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time and hold for a few seconds. Release the buttons and the remote is programmed.
