bogging problem w/3.4 gtp

96 GTP, 3.4 dohc. when accelerating, engine will sometimes bog down severely. can keep pressing accelerator pedal and engine will eventually catch up or can lift up on pedal and try again to accelerate and it works. have replaced fuel filter and cat converter. fuel pressure is 45 psi. have used fi cleaner several times. no service engine lite is showing. air filter is k&n and is clean. suggestions welcomed. problem could be dangerous if happens at bad time.

Check the throttle position sensor to make sure it is not going bad. Can be checked with a digital volt meter. If you search the forum you should find the voltages for each position.
