As no one here seems to know anything about my problems with this van, I'm thinking about replacing the ECM/SBEC/PCM whatever it is called...
Can I just swap in another one or does it have to be reprogrammed because of the VAT-System ? Does it have to be a '94 PCM or can I also use a '93 or '95 PCM ?

No one knows ? Please help. I could get a '93 ECM but I need to know if I can just swap it in, or if something like the VATS needs to be reprogrammed.

I replaced the PCM on my 95 Intrepid with no reporgramming - I had the same concern but it runs fine - turned out that was not the problem but now I have a spare. I went to a reputable wrecker to get it - I had gottem a TCM for my wife's 96 Voyager from them before and they really seemed to know what they were talking about and what questions to ask. For the TCM the part number had to match - for the PCM they told me it did not - and the one they sold me was a different part number but runs great - the only thing I noticed is that the MIL does not work the same. I did replace it with the same year 1995 - it is a 3.3 also - there were tuning changes on the 3.3 over the years - I would suggest stick to the same year, although I do not know of any specific differences 93 to 94 - I know the 95 is tuned differently than my 90 Dynasty was and the computer may be set up differently. I believe the sensors are the same so it may well run but hard to say what the impact might be.

Sorry. Not ignoring you just no time to research. Hope this helps....
