My daughter's 1989 prelude has the hidden headlights stuck in the up position. You can crank them down by hand but as soon as you turn on the key, they go right back up. Has anybody else seen this, is it a relay? Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks :banghead:

Is it the motor? there is a set of buttons just left of the steering wheel. i'll post a pic for you to see. There are two buttons. If she has fog lights, one button is for that, and the other is for the headlights for in the winter for the real reason. The button is used to keep the headlights up in the winter because flip-up headlights can actually freeze shut. We can't have that now can we. Try playing with the switch to see if it works. Keep us posted.
I'll post the picture in a bit.

here are the pictures...
I'm very sorry they are so small. I took the pictures with my phone.
The first picture is of where to find the buttons in the car.
The second picture is showing you which button is for the headlights.
The way the button is current placed in that photo ( I know it's hard to see) is push up toward the windshield. That means that the headlights will stay down until she puts them up with the nob on the left side of the steering wheel. If the button is pushed down toward the floor of the car, it means that the headlights are up. If you need more help please feel free to post.
By the way, don't forget to tell her what the button is for..if you live in a state with lots of cold and icy winters, this button is very handy.

Thanks for your reply and the pictures, I know about the buttons but they don't work anymore. I would think it was the motor but when you crank them down by hand they pop right back up. Maybe I'll check out that switch a little closer.
Thanks again
