We rolled out and headed to our spot for mudding and sliding last night. Its a good spot, the trucks have about 3 acres to roll around in and the cars that want to slide can just use the parking lot because the guy who owns it is a friend's dad.
En route to the spot, my friend in his $50,000 for F-150
pulls up to me on a roll. I knew he wanted to go, we've
spoken of racing for fun beforehand so I keep it in 3rd
and wait for the jump.
I hear his exhaust open up,
(that opened up v8 rumble kicks so much ass)
immediately downshift to 2nd and slam it
SCRCH
the thin tires momentarily lose traction
as I start rocketing through whats left of 2nd
by the shift to third I put about a half car on him
(had to regain the jump he got) and 3rd just took
me away from him like he was standing still.
Didn't go much further than halfway into 3rd
and I shut down.
I didn't want to push the car too hard because that was also the day I had my gauges installed and I think there's a leak or blocking in the hoses they put up because the bov wouldn't fire and when I got under the hood I could just hear a very faint combination of a bov whistle and compressor surge coming through so I guess there's something that
needs a tie but I'm not quite sure where.
P.S. - Later that night we went mudding and the F-150 got stuck in deep ass mud, we had to wait an hour for a guy with a lift and a chain to come pull us out.

If you take a F150 King Ranch and every option you can only get $43,425.00.
It'd be cheaper with the family pricing.
I just can't see why somebody would pay $50,000 for a truck. Sales person got one hell of a bonus check for that one... put somebodies kids through college. haha.

its had a bit done to it, a slight lift but not anything enormous. His dad owns a performance shop so they've fitted quite a bit more suspension/wheel/tire/exhaust related stuff (as well as his interior which is amazing).
The truck is NOT stock at all but has little if any done to the engine. I never said the truck was stock but I figured it would be implied with most that when I said 'his' it stood for his truck and the money he put in it which is $50,000 altogether so far.

It doesn't take long to double or triple the sticker price on a damn truck....trust me. :)

yah, glad to clear up a minor detail.
Fixed the bov hosing today (damn megan boost gauge is a little sensitive) and all is running well again. This next saturday the guys at the local shop are gonna take me around to the spots they have so I'll probably have something on that later.
