I have a 99 that the key will not come out of the ignition, In the last few years it has only been able to be removed a few times. The last time was a week ago, I got it to come out and could start the car and remove the key several times, But I went out and drove the car and it will not come out again. Where should I start looking?

My first guess's would be either the steering wheel is cocked to one side in which cause hold it to the other side while tryin to remove it. Also sometimes the tranny linkages if its a auto aren;t completely in park and won't allow the key to be removed in which case you push forward on the gear selector while trying to remove the key. Another most likely thing is you just got a broken ignition cylinder., in which case you need to replace it. Good luck

if its not completely in park wouldnt taht keep the car from being able to turn off? i donno, but i have a friend that had that problem on 01 accord, if it wasnt totally in park you couldnt turn off the car, he had something blocking the shifter from going completely into park and he was bugging the f out about not being able to turn off his.
