Bro get the fuck out of there. I was in when it was a cat.1(still swear it was a cat. 2) and a tornado dropped down like 100ft. from my house. She is not to be messed with, that is for damn sure. Peace-

first of all, winds never reached 185 and they're down to 165. Once again, meterologist cannot get anything right. At least this time it's a good thing. The storm has drop 10mph in wind unlike they said. Still, we need to vote on a new Mardi Gras city.

Good way to take the song out of context. Gah...JK.

Man, one of my friends is in Florida and it's already passed them. He didn't get too much damage. But it looks like it's going to suck for y'all.

I don't think that a decrease of 10 mph is going to make any difference. besides, the pressure is still 902 mb. The storm probably hasn't really weakened at all.

I think its a little late for him to be leaving now and if he didn't leave southern mississippi then he certainly won't have power right now.

Just found this story about Rob's town on CNN:Waveland, Mississippi (http://www.cnn.com/2005/WEATHER/09/01/obliterated.town.ap/index.html)

I hope he did not wait out the storm and did leave, but I doubt he'll be able to get to a pc anytime soon to tell us hes safe, right now he has more important things to worry about.

He went to Stennis Space center to weather the storm. Which is about 30 minutes from N.O , he told me they had some major damage to the building there as well though and yeah, he told me about the Vettes as well, very sad.

Its gonna be a strong one too. At least Texas shouldn't be as vulnerable to storm surge. Wonder what would happen to Houston if they had a direct hit?
