I had a 2000 tundra, but now have a 2004 dbl cab, my ? is this. Can I get some feed back from those who have who has heard the TRD exhaust systems and the BORLA sytems and give me there opinons. I would like to have an exhaust put on, but really don't know the diiference between the tow sound wise. Or would it be better to go with a muffler such as a flowmaster ands have it installed. I know that would be the cheaper route. Any info would be great.

Hey Tuntex,
I haven't heard the TRD or the Borla but my buddy just put a magnaflow on his '04 Tundra V8. At first, he kept on the factory resonator and you could hardly tell they had done anything to the truck. Then he had the resonator removed and it really sounds nice. Very aggresive yet still civil. His only complaint is that at low RPM's, 2000-2200, he does get some droan. I am starting to think this is common with all performance exhausts but I am certainly no expert.

I have just ordered a Banks Monster Exhaust for my '05 Tundra and am hoping to have it by the end of next week. I'd be happy to update you with my opinions of it if you'd like. I am also going to try to get some sound clips of mine and my buddies to upload somewhere as there doesn't seem to be shit out there for the Tundra's.

Let me know if your interested,
Willie

My Banks Monster Exhaust is installed and I am very pleased with it. I am definitely feeling better power when my truck is loaded down. Can't say for sure if I feel any difference for normal daily driving. I'm anxious to see if it affects my mileage at all.
