99 scratched winshield

Hey, I am looking to purchase a 99 jetta and it has a scratched winshield. The left winshield wiper scratched it. The scratch is not that deep but when you run your fingernail over it you can feel that its there. Can I repair it myself? Can a autoglass guy do it and about how much would that cost? Thanks for your time.

Anyone ever fix a glass scratch themselves? By using a polishing kit? I found out it would cost me $300 to get the glass replaced.

Guy wanted to sell for 4,750 and then I would have to replace the winsheild. So I said SCREW HIM. Dealers stealers.
